My friend Jin-Hee fell in love with one of our cats, Moonrock. He simply hopped into her lap, and dozed off. It was so cute! Jin-Hee told me that normally she HATES cats. But she said that Moonrock was the only cat that she likes.

My 12th Birthday.

I celebrated my 12th birthday. I had an all day birthday party, and I really enjoyed it. It was so great to have all my friends over. They really enjoyed it. I told the girls to all bring a favourite game. So, we played games most of the time. And we jumped on our trampoline, decorated cupcakes, played with our cats, and watched movies. It was great!

About Myself

Our life as missionaries in Kigali, Rwanda, has been a great experience. I am Danieke, an 11 year old. I turn twelve on the 31st of August. I have three younger siblings. Marijke, who is turning 9 on the 21st of April. Matthijs, who is 6, turns 7 May 29th. And lastly, Johannes, who turns 3 on September the 25th. And of course, I can't give away my parents ages. Their names are Richard and Jocelyn Jelsma. My dad is Dutch, and my mom is Canadian. I like to think of myself as Dutch, for some random reason. We left to go to Rwanda on October 12th, 2008. We then stayed in Holland for a couple of weeks. It was great to see relatives.
